Palettewalker

Palettewalker Palettewalker

A passion project a year in the making. I had an idea long ago on how it would be nice to be able to visualise what a Magic: The Gathering card might look like with the primary art colours extracted.

The idea was only ever to create something that looked pretty, but I put the idea on ice for a while, until...

I saw in my daily rounds of the Internet a JavasScript library that looked like it would help me achieve exactly what I was after. A couple of weeks later, Palettewalker was born.

As the project developed, the features went from purely just a pretty gradient view of the art, to a tool that would let users see the colour breakdown and get access to the hex colours. It also grew to include a screensaver type mode, and the ability to save the gradients as an image.
